* Project Kish *
Finally but not lastly, we will be rolling out our training programme for trainers.  This is the long awaited Project KISH (working title for now).This training is meant for our members and there is a commitment to training once you come for our free training.  But when you go out and share your knowledge with the recipient’s organizations that we will identify for you to work with, we will pay you an honorarium.  Take a look at the poster on KISH.  Do register with us if you are interested.  Write to our secretariat@srl.org.sg and let us know so we can keep you in the loop.

* Reading Marathon 09 *
SRL is committed to helping out at this Reading Marathon on 4th Jul 2009 from 7 pm onwards for 5 hours. We hope to roster people who are willing to read during these time-slots. So please sign up for this 1st ever Reading Marathon in Singapore.

* Storyteller's Circle *
The next meeting of The Storytellers’ Circle will be on Fri, 26th June 2009, from 7.00 to 9.15pm at 111, North Bridge Road, Peninsula Plaza, #26-04, Room 26f. Do come early to join in the informal potluck. Bring only what you can, and don’t worry if you have not had the time to make or pick something up. You are still very welcome to join us!

Guests are welcome for their first meeting. Regular attendees are members of the Society for Reading and Literacy (SRL), of which we are a ‘Special Interest Group’. Members are reminded to renew membership with SRL.  Forms may be downloaded online from www.srl.org.sg.  While you can always drop in on the spur of the moment, do let us know whether you plan to be there, so we can be better prepared to welcome you. There will only be one intake of Module One classes. Registration for new Module One classes (commencing in August 2009) is open till 5th June 2009. WISH posters inviting the public to register for Module One classes (Aug 2009) will be on bulletin boards in selected libraries and community centres hosting the new Module One classes.

* Wordwrights Meeting *
Dear Members,

We are pleased to announce that we now have a room in the Art House that we can use for our regular writers meeting. This is thanks to the generosity of
the management of The Art House, in particular Mr Colin Goh. To welcome us, he would be there to meet us as well and we will explore possibilities of making
our writing group more vibrant and dynamic, so writers, please turn out in full force as a show of support. There are lots we can do at the Art House that will give every writer a chance to show case his/her work.
