Dear Members,
As announced at the last AGM, the WordWrights SIG will now be split into two groups. The first group will be for published/established writers, working on a project.
We will organise a meeting for other interested writers or budding writers if they confirmed their attendance before hand so that we can book a venue for the meeting. As soon as you receive the ebroadcast, please send an email to Secretariat and let us know if you wish to attend, then we will follow up with information on where to meet and when. Thank you.
The next meeting planned will be on Wed., 12 November. Please confirm attendance by 5th November. This is for the second group, first meeting of the new Ex-Co year 2008/2009. We will send you an email with the details should there be a confirmed meeting because we need at least 5 persons for the meeting to take place. Please send an email to secretariat@srl.org.sg. to indicate your interest.
As most people are away in December, there will be no meeting then. Thank you.
Chairperson, WordWrights
The next meeting of The Storytellers’ Circle will be on Fri, 28th Nov 2008, from 7.00 to 9.30pm at 111, North Bridge Road, Peninsula Plaza, #26-04, Room 26f. Do come early to join in the informal potluck. Bring only what you can, and don’t worry if you have not had the time to make or pick something up. You are still very welcome to join us!
Guests are welcome for their first meeting. Regular attendees should be members of the Society for Reading and Literacy (SRL), of which we are a ‘Special Interest Group’. Make use of the ‘early bird’ option to apply or renew membership with SRL for the next year. Forms could be downloaded online from www.srl.org.sg. While you can always drop in on the spur of the moment, do let us know whether you plan to be there, so we can be better prepared to welcome you.
See you at the Circle!
Looking forward to seeing you all at the Circle!
